Runtime Error!

Hi guys ive been playing civ for a while then took a break and installed the new patch I also put smartmap on it. Well when I load a game it gets halfway then it comes up with this error
Runtime Error!

Program...raxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Civilization 4.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the Application's support team for Information.

Can anyone help me out?

Because I'm experencing the same problem after updating to 1.52. A couple of fresh reinstalls later and still nothing.
