Russia hires some really bad actors.
Still - it is interesting to carefully study the enemies propaganda - it can reveal a lot about their mindset and sensitivities.
For example these guys want desperately to be seen as the "good guys" apparently, handing out small packs of - what exactly ?
Stark contrast with the Chechens who clearly want to provoke fear, or the one with the communist flag some days ago as if he had just taken the Reichstag in Berlin singlehanded
Also the complete absence of young females - probably hiding just be sure.
It's the Russian standard narrative by now – the Russians are the White Hats. Everyone opposing Russia is a Black Hat. Russia is only doing things out of stark necessity, if there is a conflict it was directly forced on Russia that is only defending what is right. Given that Russia is the Good Side, with justice on its side, this is an existential conflict that Russia has to win – but the same is not the case with the forces opposing Russia, who force everything on Russia, but did so not due to any just, much existential, reasons – that was done simply because everyone else is a turd. But as turd they also cannot have any real reason except bade and disgusting ones, and consequently there is no reason to assume they won't in the end buckle in the face of stern Russian determination. History and justice are all on Russia's side.Still - it is interesting to carefully study the enemies propaganda - it can reveal a lot about their mindset and sensitivities.

There is no actual representativity in any single image/clip.
May be not in the city where Ukrainians retreated from just hours ago and where street combat is still ongoing in some places.Anywhere between 15 and 20.000 people are left in Lisichansk, yet only a handful of old women turn out to greet their "liberators" ?
You'd expect something like this no, after 8 years of occupation by fascists ?
Yeah, bad actorsRussia hires some really bad actors.
Special military operation to liberate Ukrianians (from their resource rich land)That's not exactly helpful when you embark ona war of conquest.
Give Russia time to truck in more grateful Ukrainians.Anywhere between 15 and 20.000 people are left in Lisichansk, yet only a handful of old women turn out to greet their "liberators" ?
(...)
Otherwise yes, you'd expect something like this:
Even if they were supported by just few percents of people, it would still mean thousands of supporters.Sevastopol - Crimea ?
Russians are very popular there I imagine yes.
There are enough young females and males. Very few children though. Most people likely realize staying next to combatants when the city is still reachable by enemy artillery and drones is not the safest place. Also the complete absence of young females - probably hiding just be sure.
Mothers of which soldiers? The city was under Ukrainian control, they can only be mothers of mobilized Ukrainian soldiers.I still think they are just the mothers of those soldiers there..
Even if they were supported by just few percents of people, it would still mean thousands of supporters.
And Lisichansk was likely one of the most pro-Russian from the cities still remaining under Ukrainian control.
You forgot, there is no pro-Russian population, only hired bad actorsA couple of weeks ago, there was an article about how Ukrainians were fleeing the city, except for the pro-Russian population.
I didn't claim there wasn't any pro-Russian population. I claimed Russia hired bad actors. You forgot, there is no pro-Russian population, only hired bad actors
