Personally I find it very unlikely that those are "russian legions for the freedom of Russia" etc. You don't really get such willing to up to kill people in their own country (Russia) if they are so noble. Reminds me more of civil-war type bandit groups (eg communist vs nationalist etc).
Of course, as usual, all sides prefer to term their own groups of this kind as freedom-fighting - terrorist doesn't quite have the same sound.
Free France army fighting against Vichy France army in the Levant, or French partisans fighting against Vichy France.

Of course partisans are seen as terrorists by their opponent, for example my grandfather (and his partisan group) were arrested by the French police in May 1944 in Normandy, not by the Gestapo or the Wehrmacht.

It'd be pretty strange to argue that Russia is occupied by... Russia. V.France was a vassal of another country, nazi Germany. (iirc it was pretty much annexed, when V.France lost control of northern Africa).

goalpost moved.

You repeatedly implied that your president was right in pretty much everything. Then all this should be an integral part of his plan which is being implemented flawlessly and strictly according to schedule, as he said himself more than once. So this should be only for the good of your country and people, shouldn't it? It is part of the plan, after all, so nothing to write home about, or post on the forums, for that matter.

Did I? Strange, because I don't think my president is right in everything.
But do you think he will win in the end?

That is kind of Putin's specific Magic Power here – how everyone in Russia seemingly expects he will get his way in the end, right or wrong be damned (meaning it is just futile to oppose Putin, like Ukraine is currently doing).

Really? Then you must be really reserved when it comes about expressing criticisms against him. But it does not matter here. My point stands. This was and is his plan, supposedly going on as intended, so accept and approve it. Your society accepted him as the top man, ultimately responsible for everything that goes on in Russia, so everything what's on the photos you've posted is his sole and ultimate responsibility.

I see. So if you don't criticize Zelensky here, it means you believe he is right in everything.
You missed the bold part:

Hm - the army, any army, is always the enemy of the local citizens, simple, they live "off the land" as they say, and serve far away masters, they need to go home,

not news obviously.

I'm thousands of miles away - what "news" do you expect from here, all is "quiet on the western front" ?

Mud is still mud, able to stop an offensive in 2023 just like it was in 1914 :)

In recent months, this bad weather has been cited as one of the main reasons why the Ukrainian army was still waiting to launch its spring offensive. Heavy military vehicles and artillery systems threaten to get stuck due to mud. With the drier period, that problem seemed to have gradually disappeared, until now.

Could it be the various reconnaissances were just to see if the rivers and streams were fordable and where ?

Now reported that the latest edition of the legendary "SoldF" – "Soldaten i fält", the Soldiers Field Manual – of the Swedish army has been translated into Ukranian.

Apparently Swedish instructors to the Ukranians used it so extensively it peeked the Ukranian interest what this booklet they were pulling interesting stuff out of was, and if they could read it for themselves. The commentary from the translators is that this might be a very basic, cheap and expedient way of making the Ukranian troops more dangerous for Russia.

Interesting, but were swedish troops trained with this ever used in an actual war? (so as to determine usefulness relative to other such manuals etc)

Blinken seemingly joined (or was inspired) by the meme community :

"The Kremlin often claimed it had the second strongest military in the world — and many believed it," Blinken said in a speech in Helsinki, Finland. "Today, many see Russia's military as the second strongest in Ukraine."

International comparisons tend to line them up with the Israelis – trigger happy, disobedient, effective... Mostly deploy internationally alongside the French. US/UK comparisons not all that relevant.

Moderator Action: Swedish military is not relevant, giving their training manual to Ukraine is.

So the swedish military provides politicians serving in the ukrainian army. Hopefully she is not in the frontline (@Verbose ?), for if she dies it will be an issue for supporters in Sweden.
