Arranging a war in which hundreds of thousands of ukranians die "for NATO" (in the words of Ukraine's presidential aide) is "humanism"?
Repeatedly spurning, and ordering them to refuse, negotiations to end that war is some common cause for humanity? I don't think so.

Someone actually socialist (hint: you can recognize them by asking what they thing of this organization, NATO, friend or enemy of the left in the world) could argue that this "western" eagerness for war at least has hastened the liberation of humanity from the past (it's done) political hegemon. But the US imperium was decaying already and weaponizing Ukraine was it attempting to stave it off. It would have been better if that failed to produce the desired war at all.
My point to you is: no socialist with any knowledge of history confuses Washington's establishment and NATO with the "common cause of humanity". Ultimately there are many thousands of millions of humans outside the US and its vassals, less than a thousand within. The "common cause" of most of humanity was to see "the west" lose its explorative hold on the rest of the world. Dealing with the next hegemons will be a new problem. But the most immediate one has been the hegemon and its acolytes attacking and wrecking one country after another. And no one outside its full-time propagandized vassals believe it has good intentions. And those who believe the nararative, they carre as much about the ukranians as they cared about "afghan women", or "kurdish freedom fighters", "syrian refugees", or the mythical libyan democrats. They never cared nor care, ukranians were and are just tools to "weaken Russia".
For 20 years, every war arranged and propagandized about by Washington - Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, just to name the most notorious - have been cheered on by the liberals here. Every war was presented in a "freedom versus tyranny", "good versus evil" narrative. Every war came with promises of it being about "helping out the people there". Every time all that were lies. All those countries were wrecked and dumped. And that was the goal all along. The empire maintains its hold over the world by spreading chaos and wrecking others as an example for any who disobey.

And you now think that "supporting Ukraine" is humanism? You're being played, have learned noting from the past.
