I found the lack of air defence units in the download database disturbing, so I decided to make the unit myself, built completely from scratch as I am not going to fork out 40 bucks to buy a model.

Ran into some trouble but eventually got all the mod tools to work on my computer,

Many thanks to Hikaro Takayama for the Bryce tutorial and Wyrmshadow for the palette.

Looks good King Comm. Thanks for contributing!

It's good for a first unit. Can only get better from now on. Lots of hard work isn't it?

I got about 2/3 through Utahjazz's unit making tutorial, and decided I should try my hand at making mods instead.

Though I have played around a little with Bryce. Nothing worthwhile though

Nice first unit by the way :goodjob:

I've been using it for 11 years, think you can get good overnight? no sir. Then again I put aside POSER very quickly.

Oh no. I knew I wouldn't master it overnight. I don't dedicate a lot of time to it, and if I wait long enough, somebody will eventually make the units I'm looking for (most of which you've made in fact).

King Comm... Good First Unit and I agree that there needs to be more Air Defense Units. :goodjob:
As a suggestion, it would be better to use a Larger Frame size so the Unit animation does not get Cut Off by an "invisible Line" in the Game as the unit travels out of a Frame.

I second this, and the shadow shouldn't be so dark. Good first unit anyway.

Thank you all

I thought 140 x 140 is the standard frame size for Civ III, is it possible to use a larger frame?

240x240 is mainly used for making Multi-Units. A good choice for a starting rocket animation too... It leaves enough space for big animations (can be choosen in Flicster - Export Tab)

Got my attention

.

You mean this model?

You didn't but I did.

As for your TorM, I'm interested in where you got it. The hull looks extremely low-poly and I have a Shilka model that could be of use to get more detail out of it.
