Saudi potatoes or Chinese potatoes, a shopping dilemma.

I just got back from the grocery, and was faced with a choice: Saudi potatoes or Chinese? And so I'm there in the vegetable aisle trying to decide which regime is more oppressive (as you do ) and wondering, as an aside, where I could usefully post this dilemma on CFC (as you do )

There was nothing in it as far as quality, but the Saudi potatoes were 50% more expensive. So, CFCers, which potatoes would YOU buy? Explain why. I will reserve my comments to the end....

A while back the government tried to become agriculturally self sufficient. While Saudi Arabia can export some stuff, the amount of fertilizer / other stuff they import has left them less self reliant.
