If the game works when you first power on your computer, but fails later, then you might have an overheating problem. Try this:

1. Open your computer case. Clean out any dust. Make sure that all the vents on the case are clear.
2. Make sure that all the fans are spinning. Your video card might have its own fan. If so, make sure that's spinning.

If that doesn't help, reseat all your cards and RAM chips. These can become loose when your computer heats up.
