Saved Game Order?

I'm sure that this has come up before and maybe been answered. I did a search, but I couldn't find anything.

I hate the way Civ V saves games... alphabetically. I can't find my latest saves, and I forget who I was playing. I find myself typing the dates into the name just to try to remember.

Is there a mod or just an option that allows me to save them in a more logical way so that the last save shows up first?

You can both alter a save name, and delete saves too.

I suggest you do one or the other, or both.

I'm not aware of a way to change the displayed ordering, so what I do is reserve 5 temporary names at the top of the list (00temp through 05temp) that I use for most of my "regular" saving. Since the game displays the details when you click on them, it's not hard to keep track of which is which and it works for me.

I make a single save slot for every civ and I use that to over write whenever I play that civ so my save game list looks like this:

America
Arabia
China
Egypt
France
Germany
Russia
Etc
Etc

Very easy to remember where the save is that way.

it helps to remember the turn too you were on when you last played. that's the quickest way i find my saved games. by leader and turn.
