Saw IV problem understanding

You know the scene in Saw 4 where the two guys are chained to a machine that's pulling them in? One has his eyes sewn shut but can talk the other can see but his moth is sewn shut.

What I don't understand about it is what was happening in the scene? Why did the guy who could see start fighting with the other guy? How was he able to open his mouth in the end?

Yeah I guess the point of it was to be senseless like the rest of the movies.

I'm not really a movie buff, but this guy at my job was raving about that and Hostel so I bit.

They could have used more ketchup to make it more realistic-looking.

In this case, the first movie was a VERY good suspense thriller with an excellent atmosphere. The "sequels" are totally boring "lets watch how morons die" C-class movies.
