UNITS:
Oh, and the infantry system is finally done. I settled for a type of regimental names rather than primary weapon, so they are called, for example:
State Militia (uses the Boer rifleman animation)
Confederates:
C. Volunteer Infantry* (start unit, move one)
C. Volunteer Infantry** (move one)
C. Volunteer Infantry*** (same stats as ** but with a move of two)
C. Volunteer Infantry**** (final unit, move two)
C. Zouave Infantry (upgrades to C. Vol. Inf***)
C. Conscript Infantry (somewhat cheap defensive infantry, can be drafted)
C. Bushwhacker (cavalry militia, moves two, Radar)
C. Volunteer Cavalry (moves three, Radar, Wyrmshadow's Confederate cav. animation)
Union:
U. Volunteer Infantry* (start unit)
U. Volunteer Infantry** (move one)
U. Volunteer Infantry*** (same stats as ** but with a move of two)
U. Volunteer Infantry**** (final unit, move two)
U. Zouave Infantry (upgrades to U. Vol. Inf***)
U. Colored Infantry* (offensive supplement to U. Vol. Inf** and ***)
U. Colored Infantry** (same as ** but with a move of two)
U. Volunteer Cavalry* (moves two)
U. Volunteer Cavalry** (moves three)
These are all using the vanilla Rifleman graphics in an upgradeable line. I might try some copy-paste work on the colored infantry.
Special Units:
I added the Zouave again, it upgrades to rifleman*** (they did eventually abandon those pretty colorful uniforms). And I might add Sandris' new Napoleonic Austrian light infantry as some sort of Mississippi Rifles type unit. US Regular Infantry will also be added, using Rifleman animations. I don't know about Sharpshooters, should they be a good defensive unit with a bombard range of zero? That might make them a type of skirmisher? But why bother with that if you have artillery?
