I'm building a scenario; is there a way to change the names of the leaders and civilizations? I can do that with the one I start as before starting the scenario, just not the others. So for example I want it to say, instead of "Kublai Khan of the Mongols", "Lord Mortimer of the Welsh Marches".

Also is there a way to change the start date?

Hopefully I can do both of these without turning it from a scenario into a mod - I want it to be loadable without having to spend forever loading a mod on my slow computer; like the Earth 1000AD mod. They've got the Vikings and Byzantines so surely it should be possible to change names?

Hmm... there must be another way to set the start date because I'm looking in some of these scenario folders and they don't have a GlobalDefines.

I think it should be in the World Builder some where. I think the GlobalDefines is intended more for mods.

Where can one modify the turn intervals? i.e. years, months, weeks, etc.

Open the scenario save file in notepad. It's in the top section.

In the tutorials forum is a thread with all the possible entries in the WBS file, what they do and their possible values.

Scenario save txt? Where's that? It may just be my computer, but the files I create with the WorldBuilder don't appear in windows outside of Civ4.

They'll be in the "publicmaps" folder.

There's nothing there. I know they should be, and in Civ4 it says they are when I try to load a custom scenario, but when I look for them in Windows they're not.

There's also a "publicmaps" in your "documents and settings/my documents/civ4/.." folder. Check there as well as the application's install directory. :)
