I believe this error has something to do with "Player Properties", but I'm not positive:blush: . Anyone have any suggestions for a fix?

If you downloaded a scenario, did you put all the files in the correct locations? Ask in the thread you got it from for more info. If you are making a scenario, it's best to ask this in the Creation and Customization forum for more feedback on your problem.

I have seen that very often. The first thing you must do is to be sure the civilopedia.txt and the pediaicon.txt have the right information (also be sure that everything in the editor has a civilopedia entry). If you downloaded the scenario, it is different...

I haven't edited any of the Civilopedia entrees(this is my own scenario)...
I've checked, and all of the Rules have a Civilopedia entree...

You're missing a sound file called a.wav (.wav is the file extension, so it's really just named a). I don't know why the game would look for it, but just go into your scenario's folder, make a folder called sounds, then a folder inside that called build, then go back to the main Civilization III folder and go to sounds, then copy any sound and paste it into your "build" folder, and rename it a . It might be easier to do this in your main Civ3 folder though, in which case you don't need to make the sounds and build folders as they are already there.

That doesn't works. I tried it when i had this error and it changed nothing

Goldeagle: On Sept. 28 I posted the same problem, and finally came up with the solution myself. I had added several civilizations to my mod and it turned out that only two of them were giving me the missing sound file error. I checked the Editor and found I'd checked "none" for the races of those two civilizations. I just checked another race for them and the error never returned.
