Scenarios/Mods are they multiplayerable?

Right so ive got both xpacs, and have been wondering, is it possible to play the scenarios/mods whatever in multi I have to notice an obvious way to do this. Thx

Yes you can.
You can "load a scenario" in the gamespy lobby (Earth18civs seems most popular).
And you can load a mod in the main options menu. Then you can access the multiplayer lobby, in where you can play with players which have the same mod loaded. Which isnt very likely, though.

Is it possible to play scenarios via direct ip ? The option is there but when i try to join my friends scenario the civilization screen is empty and i cannot choose a faction to play with. We both have bts 3.13 and ffh 030 installed. Does this only work over the lobby ?

He probably didn't chose take over AI as this is not a default option with ffh mp for some reason(you could just both join in before the game actually starts and there would be no problem though..).
