You can check the Scenario File Library, though I haven't updated it in a LONG time. It is very much incomplete and only contains maybe 1/5 of the number of scenarios in the Completed Scenarios forum.
The scenario in my signature and the Japan 1583 Scenario by Plexus are two good scenarios to give a try. My scenario, ACW, was designed with historical accuracy in mind.
There are a few others in the Completed Scenarios Forums as well, which are worth taking a look at. Those with alot of posts and views tend to be popular scenarios (not necessarily the best, but it'd be a good place to start).
