Sci-Fi graphics needed

I'm starting work on a new scenario (my first!) based on Asimov's 'Foundation' novels and I need to find some new high-res graphics. Any ideas ?

I have Cobra's two 'Star Wars' sets as possible starting point, but would welcome any new sources.

Also, I know there's a guide somewhere about the pros and cons of placing units in certain slots on the 'Units' graphic file, but I can't find it - anyone got a link for this ?

The scenario is at a very early stage, so don't expect to see any calls for playtesting for a few months (I have a day job too!)

thanks

Thanks Eyn !

Thanks for the links Kobayashi ! That nebula on your units one will be handy :)

Henrik - I'll put you down for playtesting, but it's gonna be a while before I'm at that stage, but I'll keep you posted.

Still designing the map at present, from a big 3D 'Asimovian' map I found on the net - editing Civ2 maps on a Mac is no fun !

Any idea how one might get bigger sized maps than the Civ2 Map Editor allows - e.g. Koby's map for Star Wars Insurrection is 150x148, wheras the Map Editor only goes up to 100x100). If I try and use an existing big map I can't find a way to change it from a round world to a flat one - has anyone got any ideas (this for for Mac Civ2 Map Editor btw!) ?

thanks

This can't be true. Kobi only uses standard sized maps. 150x148 is square but my map was rectangular.

BTW. Changing from round to flat world is done when you use a map to start a new game and has got nothing to do with the map itself.

Sorry, my mistake - it is rectangular (!!), but dimensions seem to be 150x120, bigger than what the Mac Civ2 Map Editor allows. Is this what you mean by 'standard size' ?

I've attached an image from 'SWIns' at the point where the L-R map refs change to from '149' to'0'.
