The current queue for science is almost up, so we need to make a new one, here's my starting suggestion:

Physics
Theory of Gravity
Magnetism
Steam Power
Electricty
Medicine
Scientific Method

Pretty much, screw democracy, let the other AI's research it. We need to head straight for the industrial age, and once there, head straight for Scientific Method (and Theory of Evolution).

Any other idea's or comments?

Also, I plan on including an instruction to stop the chat if an AI research's a tech we don't have.

Looks pretty good. It seems this Golden Age is gonna propel us into the tech lead big time. I'd suggest putting Industrialization in there somewhere, and using it as a nationalism/other techs bargaining chip. The AI *LOVES* Industrialization! (next best thing that happened since a Nationalistic AI! :crazyeye: )

I would request Economics be put in there somewhere. We can get this wonder. There is little doubt. And it would benfit us greatly.

Any objections to putting it in (not as the next tech, but in there)

We can get Economics from trade, which is currently my intention.

Physics
Theory of Gravity
Magnetism
Steam Power
Industrialization (factories, US) !!!
Electricity
Replaceable Parts (faster workers!!!, infantry, artillery)
Medicine
Scientific Method

We can pre-build for ToE and hope for a (another?) Great Leader to do Hoover.

ToE should give the most expensive techs: atomic and electronics.

We never had a Great Leader yet. I'm hoping for one with the elite knight by Sanction.

Have plans been made to start a pre-build?

As no new MIA has been appointed, probably not.

We're in our Golden Age, and the demands have all been for military and more military. The bloddthirsty nature of some citizens has run rampant, pushing everything else aside for the relentless demands of the military to conquer everything.

When we started (finally!) the two wonders, there was much pessimism and despair - "Oh, we'll get nothing!" "Oh, that'll be the most expensive Knight ever!" "Oh, woe is us!"

As it turned out, these nay-sayers were right - we didn't get Sun Tzu's or Leo's Workshop. And yet, are my eyes blinded? Must I question the sights before me? Did we not, in fact, build two wonders - JS Bach's Cathedral and Copernicus' Observatory? Indeed, we did! Shock! Gasp! We actually built two wonders! Where is that gilded Knight? Ahh, he's on the one of the many paintings inside the Cathedral. And the woe? Must be from the foreign civs, who saw these wonders appear in DR and Groton, and cursed us for completing them.

And now, we are in our most productive state, and few talk of wonders? Of Adam Smith's Trading House? Of Magellan's Voyage? Of Shakespeare's Theatre? Of Newton's University? And that's just the Middle Ages! By the next term, we will be looking at Universal Suffrage, the Theory of Evolution and the Hoover Dam.

Let us take two cities and again start them on the Wonder path. True, we will reduce our capacity to build Cavalry, but do we need that? Truly, do we need that? Look at our income, we can use that to both improve our current troops and speed the recruitment and training of new units! Our GA is nicely timed to give us a tremendous head start on several wonders. Imagine the benefits of Adam Smiths! Look at the culture from Shakespeare's Theatre and Newton's University.

Let us show the world the ability of the French to constuct Wonders! Let us show the world our strengths of production and commerce! They know the strength of our troops, and fear them - why else would Russia attack us so? They know that they cannot stop us in a fair fight, and seek to distract us from constructing glorious buildings for the future.

We dare not turn our backs on the military, for they shield us, and give us the land our future generations need to grow. But let us not ignore our artisans, our engineers and our proud culture. We are in our Golden Age - let the people of the world remember it for more than just our rampaging armies. Let them remember it for the glorious buildings and ideas produced during that time!

Regretably, I resigned due to lack of time being consistently available. I was/am not able to due the job to the level I feel it needs to be done at. As far as I know, that position has not been filled.

Here is exactly what I'm thinking:

Physics
Theory of Gravity
Magnetism
Steam Power
Electricity
Scientific Method
Replaceable Parts (research before ToE is built)
*Industrilization
**Electronics
**Atomic Theory
Industrilization

* Depending on the ToE pre-build
** Acquire by building ToE

Strider,

If we are far enough ahead of the AI, putting Industrialization right after Steam Power or after Electricity might be useful. If we can DR or Groton (or another production powerhouse) building a Factory (or better yet, two cities!) then starting the prebuilds for ToE and HD, we will be hard to beat in those areas.

Personally, I like to go Steam, then Indus, then Electricity then SM. At that point, I look where the pre-builds are, and base further decisions on that. Can I get another tech, or should I set research to zero because the prebuilds are close.

Another reason to wait on SM is the wonder cascades from the AI. By going Steam, then Indus, we can rush the Factories, then give the prebuilds more time to complete. Although very unlikely the AI will keep up with us, this gives us some additional time to make sure of that.

With any luck, I love for us to complete two more Middle Age wonders, then have two cities ready to rock on ToE and HD.

Factories would be a good help, but we won't get indust before the middle age wonders are complete (we might beable to get Newtons if we wait for factories, but I doubt it). We will be ahead enough in technology that we could easily acquire both ToE and Hoovers without factories. I don't like the idea of building factories untill we have (or when were close) to get Hoovers, then we don't have to worry as much about pollution, and depleting our worker force, which would be much more needed railing, and finishing up the Russian/Babylonian (and maybe Indian/German) lands.

Industrialization is IMHO the better choice, but since we are so far ahead, minor blunders don't matter much.

OTOH replaceable parts is vital, because it doubles worker speed for railroading (and gives infantry, artilllery).

Replaceable Parts. And we can start pre-building for factories in the cities we want to do it. My opinion.
