Our first General Research Goal poll, aimed to cut down useless polls.

What will be our general aim? I suggest Chivalry, as that will get us Knights and Pikemen.

NOTE: During the research of our GRG, polls will be posted on side-techs, less important than the big techs in the GRG but ones we may still want.

e.g. You want to research Republic, but none of the GRGs cover that. To vote for republic, you decide on the most favourable GRG, and when the ST polls are posted, vote for republic on that.

As we enter a new era, we must be prepared with the best defence possible.

We should strive for Gunpowder.

Chiv, so we can get improved defense, and be in postion to get Bach's, and then Gunpowder would be my choice.

If we go down the Gunpowder path and get Leo's and musketeers, then will our phalanges be upgraded straight to the musketeers or do we have to discover pikemen first in order to upgrade them? I think its a step-by-step process, so I voted for Chivalry to get the pikemen first.

Assuming we have gunpowder and LEO then I thought that if we go chivalry path we would be forced to build musketeers whereas if we didn't research fuedalism then we could build warriors which would automatically get upgraded to musketeers.

On Emperor level, you must follow the progression, warrior-->Phalanx-->Pikeman-->Musketeer-->Riflemen.

If a tech is missing, you won't upgrade, the same is true of ships.

Fuedalism and Chiv are needed for Dragoons, and Cavalery.

We are on the path for Fued and Chiv, I am going Monotheism next, as per the last poll, but Fued is a good choice if it's not there.
