Scientific Leader not working

Just got a S.L, so i thought what do i do with him, on the civilopedia it says press the increase science button....What button?

Am I going wrong somewhere?

I haven't got SGL yet, but civilopedia says also you must move him to capital , then "increase scientific output" button should appear. Hope this helps.

wait until you gave a great wonder to rush0 as ONLY SGLs can rush great wonders now- it would be such a waist to use him for a mere science boost...

But it also depends how far behind in tech he is. If I was far behind, I would use it to get techs faster and not for a wonder.

Also, don't you get your SGL in your capital? I did.

Yes, you always get it in your capital when you get it, AFAIK.

Well, unless the UK version is different than the US version, the "button" is where all of the other unit action buttons are. This button looks like a beaker/test tube. If you don't see it, it might be a bug on your version/software.

It should be an action button that says "Age of Science" or something like that.

Oh, and Xen: Getting an Age of Science could give you more SGLs.

If he was behind on the tech he wouldn't get a SL...

But the button is above the wait-fortify-disband set of buttons, so you need to have him selected.

Science boost will increase his chance of getting more SGL's. And it might be necessary in some games for the player to catch up on a slight lag in tech research. Or to increase your lead.

Not to sound crass, but are you sure it's a Scientific Leader you have and not a Great Leader? If it's got a pipe and a cane, it's an SL.

I hate to state the obvious, but I just don't know what's going on -- I just had an SL pop up in a game last night and -- like Ham said -- it's right above the fortify button.

Uh, and as someone else said, make sure you bring him to the capital.

Well, he could be behind, and he got a tech that the AI ignored first...

yes, he would have been a sci leader- any leader with the name of famous scientist, or culuitral type guy. and looks alot like einstin, with a head like twice the size of any of the old units heads would be a sci leader
