I can has scorpions?!? YESSSSS!!! :mwaha:

Scorpion unit converted from Deliverator's Civ IV scorpion. Uses 16 custom animations which can be tweaked in the .fxsxml file. Three skins available; black, sand, and white:

Special thanks to Deliverator for the Civ IV version and excellent conversion tutorial, without which would not have made this unit possible!

This is my first full conversion unit! After a lot of this , this :wallbash:, this :aargh:, and this :badcomp:, I have finally achieved this -->:woohoo:!!!

OK, enough emoticons already, it's time to...

Awesome! Really like that Civ5 is finally starting to move towards the same diversity of mods and models CivIV had! :D

Fantastic! Now I can have spiders in the forests and jungles and scorpions in the deserts!

    With these, we can have:
    • Wolves in the forests
    • Spiders in the jungles
    • Scorpions in the deserts
    • Lions in the hills and grasslands (lions did live all over Europe once, but were extinct there by medieval times)
    • Kraken in the water
    • Bears, if Nomad would like to take a look at the attached animated unit.
    • Rats, once I release the Skaven Unit Pack
    Wild animal barbarian mod, anyone?

I was actually looking at bears and other wild animals such as a panther and tiger and converting them using Deliverator's Lion custom animation. Not sure if it would be easier to do it that way or just build new ones. I'll have to have a looky-see....

Rats! Hmmmm, has anyone ever done Ratmen? I will have to check, could be interesting....

If anyone has a need for bears, let me know and I will give it a shot. :)

I'm doing ratmen now, that's what Skaven are;). I've already done a bear with lion animations, but the different body shapes make it look ridiculous. Basically a huge rear and small front.

I look forward to the upgrade - one of the fundamental parts of my mod will be raging barbarians - except that the "barbarians" are goblins and wildlife!

Here is a zip of the Warhammer Tomb Scorpion with animations and fxsxml (skin by Nutty). The animations have been re-saved through Nexus Buddy to allow previewing in Nexus and the fxsxml has been changed to accomodate the missing animations. This should make reskinning easier.

There was an issue with the scorpion animations when using mixed models per this thread. I have corrected the issue and updated the download file.

Ah man I love that bluish-black Scorpion. I have a mod project later down the line that calls for Scorpions. Very sweet, thanks a lot!

@Nomad or What: A Bear unit would be a nice addition to the mod that I'm building. A desert animal like a Rattlesnake would be cool too :)
