Scroll speed?

Hi
I have Civ4 and Beyond the Sword...My question is when i scroll with a mouse when a lot of the map is revealed the manual scrolling get's less smooth and slower.I have all updates..i'm surprised there's no mouse scroll speed option..
I'm really old at 61' maybe i'm getting dumber...I hope it isn't abnormal.

I more than meet the recommended specs..Amd2800+..1.28GB of ram..Nvidia 6800XT....Now when it auto scrolls or i left click the map or mini map it's instant..mmmmmmmm..maybe that's how i'm suppose to scroll.But the mouse gets rougher and slower .I just hope it's not just me because an upgrade now is out.

Don't worry - it is not a sign of being
The scrolling is not the most stable part of the game and especially on high graphics settings you need a fast graphics card to get it smooth. Also as with everything in this game the RAM/graphics memory is probably the bottleneck. Unfortunately for a mouse (and keyboard) centered game they have not given much thought to this.
Basically you can either live with it, lower the graphics settings or buy new memory (both graphics card and RAM will probably enhance this a tad).

Yeah..luckily it looks ok on low..unless i back away to much from the map then its kind of rough again..lol
