SDI animation correction

The only possible difference could be a wavy laser but I don't think could be so great...

I'd like see an SDI anim where a shield pops up over the city, But that may not be possible....

It was just a thought. Actually, in a vacuum you would not see a laser fire unless you could see the crystal phase when the pulse was emitted.

There is a missile animation that Firaxis made but was never implemented (at least I've never seen it used), here is a few frames from the animation.

Maybe it could be used or adapted.

It seems to be a little larger than the LASER animation.

It is true that they are obviously SAM missiles, but it would be nice to see an alternate Missile Defense System.

This animation is in the SDI animation folder and is also pointed to by the sdi.ini file for the default animation. But I have only ever seen the LASER activated.

It the SDI defence before making the SDI wonder. Actually, it said that it increments the success of hit ICBM by 75%, then this animation would be the 25%.

Maybe I should start a Nuclear War before building the SDI Wonder to see this other animation. I would assume then that you would also have to have built SAM city improvement as well, I always thought that that was for shooting down planes.

I don't think I can post it unmodded because it is a Firaxis Creation.

You can find it in this folder, the file is named default:

C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Art\Animations\SDI

If so I am gonna tweak it a bit and then get permission from firaxis to post it.
