A couple points from me:

1. Easter is both a christian and a secular holiday
2. The easter egg started as a secular addition to the holiday and was only later adopted by christians
3. Shut the hell up about christian persecution already
4. This is dumb
5. They are oval
6. dumb

Clearly we need to have Easter bacon.

I'd say in this order:
1. This is dumb
2. This is dumb
3. Easter is both a christian and a secular holiday
4. The easter egg started as a secular addition to the holiday and was only later adopted by christians
5. Shut the hell up about christian persecution already
6. They are oval
... but basically you listed all the important points. (y)

I like the change; it makes breakfast sound more futuristic.

"Hi Jim, what did you have for breakfast?"
"Scrambled sphere. What did you have Jom?"
"Poached sphere and bacon."
"Sounds lovely."

Scrambled or fried would be better.

Why can't we just call them hard-boiled rainbow chickens?
How would you like your chicken: hard-boiled, scrambled, or fried?:mischief:

Or the Spring Chicken hunt?

Look Mommy! There is a nest on the ground with a sphere in it!
Yes, dear. It's a robin's sphere. We better put it up in that tree before the sphere hatches.

"Chocolate Chip Recipe:
Step 4: Use spherebeater."

"Walking on spheres."

"He sphered him on."

That school really knows its stuff. But in all seriousness, they really laid a sphere with the name change.

If the atheists want to create their own atheist "madarassas" in the US....

:lol::lol::lol:

Granted, "spring spheres" is a little silly, but nice reactionary nonsense, jumping straight to madrassas. Let me guess, Sharia Law coming soon to a Heartland America(tm) near you?

Which came first: The chicken or the sphere?

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - One Seattle elementary school is calling Easter eggs “Spring spheres" instead, they say, to take religion out of the annual egg hunt.

They weren't fooling any of the kids though, who apparently still all called the colored treats "Easter eggs".

The city's parks department has also removed the word "Easter" from its ads for egg hunts.
Strange. I had thought that the theme of "Easter Feast" in the past couple of decades is specifically blended with secular customs, consisting of candies, Easter Bunny, and other items.

Why couldn't the teacher do it for the reason of not only taking the religious stuff out of it, but also the commercial aspect of it too?

Begun the Easter Wars have.

Let the battles commence.

Link to video.

When I was 16, I walked into a convenience store and bought every single egg they had to buy ammo to help guard our Homecoming service club float. The cashier asked "planning to make a big omelet?"

That reminds me:

"We're gonna sphere his house tonight."

Yeah, this occurred in the State I live in.

Yeah, sometimes it sucks to live here.

Yeah, it really sucks when people get worked up over things like words.

I'm sure Arkansas is soo much better than the PacNW right? RIGHT?
