This is actually a continuation of the discussion we're having in the Art thread. We veered off topic and started talking about a Lanun Seawitch UU for Druid, with water affinity and other stuff.

Anyway, for a possible Seawitch, does anyone think a grove is still an appropriate prerequisite building? What else could we use?

That's what I was thinking, but how could Seawitch coming from a tavern be explained?

Do you know what the wreckers were?

IIRC, they were small settlements on cliffs who lived partly off of the wreck of ships. Naturally, many turned to piracy and intentionally wrecking ships.

A main part of any midieval town was the Church, and the Tavern. A seawitch (insturmental in wrecking ships in a fantasy setting) would hardly be living in a church, right?

I would almost think that the seawitch should req OO temple ... maybe. With a tech req the same as Druids of course. Or perhaps the Lanun harbor. Thinking a seawitch either comes from the sea or is achieved by a maiden with a certain fascination with the sea, and octopi perhaps. So I'd say either harbor or the temple.

Maybe its unfair that a non OO lanun doesnt get sea-witch, and maybe not. Maybe Falamar can build them 20% faster or something :)

Then again, maybe its something more OO-like, therefore Hannah would have the bonus? ask yourselves these questions and see which answers you stir.

Sounds reasonable. I like the name "Wrecker", too.

I don't like the idea of a seawitch UU/ The conversation we were having was just about unique art for the lanun arcane line.

I suppose it would be fine for the Lanun to get a Seawitch. But for balance purposes, the Malakim should be given a Sandwitch. With mayo. :crazyeye:

Couldn't agree more. A voo-doo queen might make a good replacement model for Shaman. The Seawitch needs to me more Hannah-like.

We could really use a poll. Sea-witch vs. sea-wench.

Both of course. I don't see them mutually exclusive.

I vote Meg Mucklebones as the Lanun Sea Witch, or perhaps Sea Hag. I am sure you will all recognize her.

Strangely enough, it was this guy who played her.

That'd be cool. If it was basically a Sea-Druid, what spell would it use? Tsunami?
