    SECOND REVOLUTION

    Greetings!

I will soon have a presentable list of all the people's contribution to my scenario in way of mods or help.

    The Playable Civilizations Will Be:

    U.S. Army (Allies)
    Leader: Bush (?)
Federales de la Armada (Mexico) (Allies)
    Leader: Fox
    Canadian Armed Forces (Allies)
    Leader: Harper
    People's Communist Army (Rebels)
    Leader: Castro
    Alianza Zapatista (Rebels)
    Leader: Marcos (?)
    Anarchist Movement (Rebels)
    Leader: None (Syndicalist commitee)

I'm not expecting to be exact when it comes to unit placement in North America (of course I couldn't have accurate sources :mischief:), but, for example, I will try to add US military bases that are known, and put units corresponding in them.

If anyone is interested in this particular scenario, please send me a PM.

You should change the leader of the Canadian Armed Forces; Martin lost the election, and the Prime Minister isn't commander-in-chief of the military anyway.

Is not "Armados de Federales" is "Federales de la Armada".

Also "Zapatista Alianza" is wrong, it should be "Alianza Zapatista".

However the leaders for those factions are correct. :goodjob:

For the first posts, I say thank you. :goodjob:

Corvex, I hadn't been to canada this year, so I couldn't find an acurate name. I did hear about the elections, and how they were very Bush-like, so this helps my scenario's cause, but may also have sealed the fate as to who I will decide that Canada will back, the US Army, or side with the anarchists.

Pillullis, I can hardly speak any Espanol, so it's very excellent that you have corrected me.

Thank you again, and please, feel free to send more comments, wishes, or corrections my way as this scenario progresses.

*allies or *rebels = means which powers start with it.

That is the basic plan im thinking of right now. Check first post for I have edited it. You can download this graphic off first post.

No, they're going to be a playable civ. On the map, they get scattered cities, but I intend on them having superior ground infantry numbers for defence. :ar15:

They will possibly be allied with the communists and zapatistas. :spear:

I hope to be posting the screenshot of the preliminary map soon.

    Hey Garret, should be awesome!

How about having the choice of more than one leader per civ? I'd like to play America, but can't stomach the idea Bush leading another war.

What about something like the Montana Militia or Earth Liberation front springing up somewhere? Just ideas

Good to hear from ya bro.

I cant wait to reveal the map with all of the cities on it! It's looking great, and nice job with central america, a pivotal place in any n american conflict.

As far as splinter groups, such as survivalists and eco-groups, I'm going to side them with the anarchists, for they will be the immediate problem for the US Army.

The anarchists are not really bloodthirsty anti-social animals, as the usage of the word 'anarchy' would imply. They are most often intellectuals who are fed up with suffering and the way our freedoms get taken away. They seek to change the system so that a more precise and definitive democracy can be established. One without central federal governing. Workers would no longer be forced to work long hours because of threat of homelessness or of his/her kids not getting enough food or of not having heat and electricity. The establishment of labor committees and rotational offices where all people would be 'drafted' to actually inhabit these chairs. They would always come from the people who are being spoken for.

    :gripe:
No system based on capital movement (so-called Capitalism) can attempt these things without subsequently giving up power and security for its 2% population upper ruling class.

    [offtopic] Sorry for idiot rant

I have created a conceptual screen shot using what I have so far. Note: the custom units are not
    displayed in this picture.

I'm still gonna need alot of help with the darn code, so if you feel generous, P.M. me and let me hear your know-how.

When you say I contributed graphics, do you mean my Bush LH? Either way there's no problem with it. Anyway, this looks like a great scenario. :goodjob:

I'd really like to contribute to this, so tell me if you need any help with unit/leaderhead/button graphics or XML.

Also, it seems that the Anarchists aren't actually anarchist. They seem to be more of a progressive group, almost Socialist or progressive liberals. Maybe a name like "New Democrats", "Progressives" or "Socialist Revolutionaries" would be more appropriate. Also, I agreee with jam4865 that there should be multiple leaders for each faction. For example, Castro is more of a totalitarian dictator than a true communist, so while he is a good option, some other true communist would be good to add.

:rolleyes:Yeah, it was yer leader head of ole bush.

as far as the anarchists, your opinion might just sway me to rename them "Rebels" instead, and allow choices between anarchosyndicalism, libertarian socialism, Leftist Marxism in the civics screen maybe(?)

Castro is started on Police state! I would like to add some alternate leaderheads, like "Hillary Clinton" (we gotta make that one funny too, of course) we could pick one of castro's "heirs" as a leader. I definately want to keep SubCmdr Marcos though (he's too cool of a college professor)

so far i have these static leaderheads: robo's bush, vicinte fox, castro in a wheelchair, harpers (canada), marcos, and a non-specific rebel leaderhead.

I'm really wanting suggestions for civics, units, and civ traits. Anybody that has any modern unit skins that might fit a revolutionary mod would be appreciated.

I'm also thinking about making and alternate scenario where you simply play as mexico or canada and try to take out USA or USA can get the ultimate "manifest destiny" and grab all of N. America.

BTW: there may be a slight delay in the playable beta for public release, for i have a son now. If you want to contribute to this mod, i will email to anyone interested what i have so far. please just PM me in forum or email me at ringworldwu@yahoo.com

heres the link to my baby boy if you want to see a very cute little guy :D :

Elements and regions withing north america have gone on general strike, then seceded from the new world order. These new revolutionary nations are now trying to 'liberate' the rest of the americas.

The Zapatistas and the US rebels are united with Castro to beat the Alliance of Canada, Mexico and USA through open warfare.

The governments have the ability to utilize their (still) great size and heavy production capabilities, while the rebel factions rely on overwhelming human support and massed wave tactics, as well as guerilla warfare and cheap tanks from russia.

Im not going to dispute any claim about the implausibility of this scenario; frankly i agree, this could never happen. But if it did, it would be crazy.

And im sure we've all wanted to march troops and tanks into Washington DC at some point in out lives. :goodjob::lol::goodjob:
