    Congrats to the Italians

I did not see the game but I cheered for the germans. Too bad they lost.

Where I live there are italians everywhere going wild in their cars honking like crazy. I wanted Italy to loose for the sole purpose of wanting the Italians stop using the horn.

Indeed - The offsides also speaks that they like to push their game a bit more.

    NOW, TAKE THIS PIZZA!!!

(It's better I don't explain the meaning of this in my town)

Apart from jokes... an excellent and truly fair game. I've seen tactical perfection from both sides on the field, maybe an (announced) slight Italian technical superiority.

Italy won because of the strenght of the whole group, its will to press till the end without waiting at the penalties, the concentration and lack of distractions in the end (made by the young and poor of experience German players), AND OVER ALL OUR GREAT COACH THAT MADE THE TRUE PERFECT CHOSES. THANK YOU MARCELLO.

They don't mean anything. They only depend by the way the teams are tactically organized.

An authentic celebration with scooter in a square in Livorno ;)

During the celebrations I heard some anti-german chants. I wasn't pleased with that, but I really can't blame who was singing.

Well, the foul on Pudolski in the 81st min in the penalty box resulted a freekick outside of the penalty box...

    Go figure...

Putting Schweinsteigger in turned out as a waste, I haven't been impressed at all by that player.

Anyway, Italy looked better than Germany tactically and technically speaking. The prolongations have been great to follow. I'm glad to finally see players during prolongations who are trying to escape to penalty shoot-outs instead of simply waiting them as it's been often the case.

Congratulations to Italy, which is without any doubt a very solid team deserving to reach the final.

    schade deutschland alles ist vorbei,...

    booohooohooo,
    what a hardcore eve...!
congrats to the italian team and best wishes to the tifosis! man, what a great game, by far the best match ive seen from my germans. too bad that it had to end in this way :/
i mean, getting the decider in the 119th min is hard to accept, but afterall one couldnt say it wasnt deserved. azzuris stayed focused until the end and it payed out. they pushed for the decision and had 2 great oppurtunities in th e beginning of et.
but im in no way disappointed by the overall performance of the german team. best wc ive witnessed (incl 1990/86). atm im of course depressed, but tomorrow i will be surely proud of the team again. nobody expected them to get this far and perform so well. future seems quite bright. :nuke:

so, theres one more match left for us to party and 2 more to enjoy the beautifull game. im crossing my fingers now for our girls :D in france! le jour de gloire est arrivé...

oh, for all the haters...enjoy, we need you :p

From what I saw.. yes, but I think the ref did not want to call a penalty for such a weak foul.

GreyLegion: go figure??? Only italians could say the phrase 'go figure' since it's expected that the referee will favor the hosts. Stop ridiculing yourself.

if it was a foul -no matter how weak- and in the box, it should've been a penalty. So you're basically admitting that the ref has not given Germany a penalty they should have had?:mischief:

cmon, it was in the box, but the foul was indeed too weak for a penalty. i couldnt be arsed to win by such a cr4p decision. all in all it was a salomonic judgment.

Salomonic jugdement, that's the perfect description for such a decision.
