Sep 1 HOF Update

I do not consider myself any longer the HOF mod. I asked to be replaced back in June, but no one wants the job. I offered to continue updating the HOF when I could in the interim, but the reaction of some of the more active HOF members have caused me to not have any wish to expend my time and energy in doing so.

This thread should never have been posted. Eman had already PM'd me the exact same questions which I had answered. I have no qualms about being questioned as to why something is, but asking again in public, feigning ignorance, is obviously just a ploy of his to try to either embarrass or harrass me into doing something which I had already told him I wasn't able to do, or an implication that I am lying about the situation and could have done it if I was pressed hard enough. Either is unacceptable to me given the voluntary nature of this work.

I am sorry to those who have waited patiently, but there will not be any further HOF updates by me.

Naturally, I feel compelled to respond to Aeson's post with these thoughts (Please forgive me 'slug):

1. Firstly, let me say Thank You Aeson for FINALLY going public with your thoughts and decisions.

2. Secondly, let me say that I don't publicize Private Messages unless permission is given. I DON'T feign ignorance........BUT, I do think it is important to publicly share your views relating to the HOF.

3. I am not trying to embarrass or harrass anyone on the HOF..........I'm just trying to get the darn thing UPDATED!......is that too much too ask? Aeson, I'm sorry if I've offended you......NOT intended........You are considered an ICON of the HOF and the CFC site.....AND I know you are a Great player and "Founder" of the Jason scoring system.

In summary, I'm glad the air has been cleared, Aeson is "begged" to continue to provide input (or games maybe?) to the HOF...... and TF, superslug and others are wished well in maintaining such a valuable portion of the great CFC site!

And, finally, a BIG Thank You to Aeson for all his OUTSTANDING work at HOF.........Big shoes to fill indeed!

Don't do that! You played long and hard for those scores, so they should stay on!
Perhaps you should just let any new submissions to the HoF that you make be checked by someone else...

The matter's been discussed. My currently posted scores will remain. Future personal games by me may be posted, so long as they're verified by someone else, either future HoF staff members or GOTM staff.

For now, however, my focus will be purely on HoF responsibilities.
