Setting a Minecraft Server for a Beginner?

Hi guys!. Does anyone know how to set up a minecraft server for a beginner?. I have the option of asking my boyfriend to do it for me but my stubborn self just wants to try and do it by herself.

You'd be far better off using google and searching for guides on Minecraft forums and fan sites, that is assuming you want to host a server with mods. Otherwise just rent a Minecraft Realm server.

ok so for what exactly u wan't to set up a Server ?
Do you wan't to make a small Server cluster with bungeecord or do you just wan't a single server where there is just 1 machine ( does not scale)
how many users are u planing to have
and how mouch are u ready to pay for upkeep

if u can answer those questions i can give u more advice
