Setting a Player to start on the western side of the map?

Thanks Kailric! Have fun at the pool! Just watch out for warm pockets of water >_<

Heh, yeah, didn't stay in there long that's for sure. K, I took to long getting things done this evening. I'll test this just a bit more to make sure I am not imagining that I actually did this in record time and then I'll upload it for download. I actually merged it with one of my small mods, the Return Home mode which just adds two new commands to cargo units. One command to assign a home city and another to automate returnnig to that city. Helps so that when the ships arrive back from Europe you just click Return Home and they head that way. Should have been in the game from the start along with lots of stuff... :deadhorse:

It's all good, I'm staring at the screen in RaR and trying to weave my way through the maze of new resources and buildings >_<

And I understand what you're saying about the "left-outs" and "oversights" of Civ4Col

You so completely rock! I just spent twenty minutes in game, but I tested the bejeebus out of the starting points for east/west, that part's working rock solid. Now I'm off to try the north/south :D

And I don't know how I played without your home-port widget! That addition by itself is worth an award

 Not worthy :D

Yeah, the home-port is a time saver. I am thinking about making it so that you can actually, in one click in the Europe screen send your ship sailing back to New World to unload and you don't have to touch it again until then. Maybe with a Shift-Click of the return to new world button? Any ideas?

Edit: I say shift click as apposed to adding a new button and cluttering up the screen. I have already added shift click buttons in my testing for bugs so its doable.

Shift+click is reasonable. And like you say, it keeps from cluttering up the HUD with buttons. You could even had it to the hover text of the button.

On a separate note, I've been thinking more about the WoW and LOTR colonization idea. I was looking at the Fantasy Packs that Walter Hawkwood uploaded for Civ4. It was inspiring :D

I noticed that someone actually made a WoW scenario for Civ4 the other day, it was in the recent downloads section when I was setting of Medieval 2.0. I haven't checked it out just yet though but I want too. It would probably have some good stuff in that.
