I'm very sorry that I seem to be messing up my efforts at screenshots.

I think that we all know by now that we have a settler who is clearing a swamp on an island inbetween our home island and the land mass with the Roman city.

I am going under the assumption that it's been decided that the settler is to move one tile NW in order to include the fish tile in its radius.

While this is going on, we have the ability to deliver a home island settler to the island to settle a city right away. A trireme is not far away, and could do this relatively quickly. I think that it was going to pick up an extra pike for the new city in any case, so adding a settler for the ride would be no problem.

Just a quick vote on logistics here, then.

Yep, sounds good, although I wish Corn had built the city before cleaning up that damn swamp

That city is called Dellsville. :p

I think we should either build tit with another settler or just move the settler now.

I voted to move one of the 6 settlers on the home island to the spot with a pike to settle ASAP.

Of course, if the settler is finished with the swamp before the new one gets there, then that one should build it.

Let's keep in mind that the work stored on the swamp already is stored with the settler. In other words, if it takes 20 turns to clear the swamp and the settler has worked for 10, then moving it off to build the city wastes those 10 turns. A new settler would then need 20 turns to clear that same swamp.

If a new settler builds the city, then easily enough the "old" settler can continue to improve the land as well. Nice.

Edit: Nevermind. Old picture
