We make MA with Ottos vs Inca. The rule is that rep gone if MA will "over"before 20 turns. (If "we" win, it is OK). So if Inca capture Otto's capital we have to protect Island City by all means. Elite SoD hope to hunter wounded units at Inca-Otto border. (It was my idea.)Why do we lose rep if Inca kill Otto's?
I think that is very remote chance as Otto's have city on island, the must have at least 3-4 units in there so I'm not worried about that.
I think giving techs away is obvious as we don't want our strong partners to waste science turns on stuf we already know. I don't want to give AI key techs like powder or MT, but banking for instance will help as then they will generate more gold to pay us. By giving I ofcourse mean get what ever we can get.

1) Well, I disagree. Wake up troops in Caravell and move them to another Caravell and move to Island. (THIS TURN!) Next turn you will unload at Island and with D support bombard they may left. 3-4 turns, not 8!1) There are 8 turns left in MA's against Inca. It will take several turns to get there, then several more to get back. I think better to prepare for war against Maya, and make peace with Inca after 8, maybe Maya or Ott's wil even take that city before 8.
2) After expansion of Cuzco we should have the mountain NE of the incense N of Cuzco. From there the AC's can attack Copan the turn of declaring. We will need some more units on the choke in the north first, and make sure our units are not in their territory when we declare. Since the best attack of Maya is 2 we can have 2 muskets 2-4 LB's (for defensive shot) and the 2 AC's on choke. Also 2 muskets some LB's and all AC, in the attack stack.
