Elear on Deck
Marsden
P. Freddo
I. Larkin "just played"
But I did not play yet.

I put save on server, and will write soon.
Important:
Spain and America made peace and now America focus on us.
Before revolt we have to make peace and then start "Research program"
Kansas will be relocated to Brown Dot.

About Roster.
Wekend just starts. So may be we put Elear after Marsden like
AT, Marsden, Elear, Freddo, Ivan?
me: So, shall I take into account you in Sgtom Roster? I am up there now...

Elear: @Larkin: Yes, although I make no guarantees on my ability to play. The best times are of course, weekends.

One thing I noticed is that the GLib has, apparently, been burned. It no longer shows up in the list of wonders, thus we can't do the elevator. I'm not actually sure how we can win this, as we are an age behind. Should we shut off research and try to buy our way to tech parity?

I will try it now.

With the configuration of the sea we could not reach TGL before Astronomy.
This event shows, that there is no way anyway. I had once in my experience similar game (Diety, Tundra Island start...). At some stage I came to the situation of 3 turn research (reputation was lost) first 3 myself and the rest bought for lump sum. End of the game was expedition to destroy capitols of potential "space shipers".

Save

Sorry I took so long. No crashes, but plenty of slowdowns, then I had to restart to get my system back to speed. This appears to be just about as much as my system can handle, I don't know how I'm going to do it if we make it to the modern age.

Turn set 195 to 205

Turn 195 (800AD) Open save, upon looking around, notice everyone hates us but Byzantines. Also, there’s a bug with the Inca, the text by the leaderhead doesn’t appear.
Raised science to 90%. Moved settler south towards settling point, moved galley and horseman.

Osaka finishes horseman, change to library

Turn 196 moved injured units to nearby towns. Moved extra horseman to Nara.

Kagoshima finishes temple, start horseman. Kansas City finishes settler, abaondoned.

Turn 197 moved settler to dot 4 on map and settle Ciudad de Freddo move new settler to dot 6 on map. Moved units around Marsdenland.

In between Egypt threatens and declares war on us.

Turn 198 moved settler to dot 6 on map and founds AutomatedTellerville. Set to temple. American frigates escorting another galleon. Approach.

Turn 199 moved units around Marsdenland to defend eventual American attack

IBT Americans land 2 cavalry 4 tiles away from both our M infantries. L

Turn 200 vArcher Vs. v Cav. Cav 2/4 v horse Vs rCav Cav 2/4 v horse Vs r cav horse 2/4 Vhorse Vs v Cav horse 2/4 We only lost an archer and a horse.
Cut science to 80% to conserve gold.

Turn 201 moved one galley to explore south, other to transport more troops to Marsdenland. American ships leave.

IBT Library in Kyoto finishes starts M Infantry Temple in Satsuma finishes, start catapult. The Americans land another R cavalry.

Turn 202 4/4 M Infantry Vs 3/3 Cav 5/5 M infantry.

IBT Babylon offers peace, but they don’t have anything, so I tell them buzz off.

Turn 203 America bombards our troops, they heal. Unload 2 more units. Send galley back. Exploring galley sinks. Moving catapult to bombard frigate.

Turn 204 catapult hits frigate. Move units around, workers road

May be it is resonable to revolt to Republic. I can't see how much America want for peace, may be it will be cheaper if we make peace with Babs.

BTW, P. Freddo up. I'v seen that he is alive but he did not appear here. AFAIK Elear has no time to play.

Check how much america want for peace. And if situation OK revolt to Republic. Since reputation lost we may only rely on own research.

I've had a crash because memory ran out. I have 1.5 GB, but I'm not sure where the "draw buffer" is allocated. The graphical card will not be all that advanced.

Will start again from the Autosave when I have time. Everything takes forever.

Our war luck is turning to the worse. This game is going to the gutter. Can we ge the wooden spoons without more torture, or do we have to finish?

Oh, it will be second wooden spoon in the row... Can we make peace with Americans and progress normally?

Can we make peace with Americans and progress normally?

Americans were no problem. I gave them Tokyo for peace. Revolt to Republic was no problem. Our science output increased. Then the Egyptians landed three Cavalry on Marsdenland and all our troops died attacking them. Had to give them AutomatedTellerville for peace. Then we also lost War Happiness.

I'll found a city next to AutomatedTellerville in order to try to steal back the Incense. I also hope Tokyo will flip back soon. We'll see.

The problem with the crash is that when you trade with thirty tribes, so much memory leaks from the program (redrawing the diplomacy screen) that it eventually crashes. In the future, I'll save and restart efter each trading round.
