I'm going to step in and ask Neil to take over, as six days is too long, and we've already been held up once before. Sorry for not noticing sooner.
I started Moai, realized the plan was Library and Monument first, switched to Library, and now that I think about it realize that it would be a good opportunity to use whip overflow into Moai while we get the Marble hooked up for doing the GL.
Not the best place to be building the worker, but it can mine the hill S of Lyons, while our Galley picks up the worker from xxxx and hauls it down to Chartres.
Working on what I anticipate will be the last Trireme from Lyons for a while.
I figure its time to start running scientists as the population here increases, especially with the work boats going out.
Pumping work boats for other cities, this one is for Marseilles.
Once the hill is mined, the worker will be free to relocate to help Chartres out. The Galley should arrive by then. I went with the Monument as the fastest way to get a border pop for the other Clam, plus the happiness is nice.
Hi guys,
Sorry I haven't been more active, I am currently putting my feet up on a tiny island in Fiji, just a few miles from Tom Hanks island in Castaway. They only have dial-up, and I have to share that! I can play the game, but I won't be able to upload any images
Plans sound good, don't worry, I won't do anything rash.
Perhaps you didn't read the fine print in the team charter. You can't go on vacation to a tropical island during SGs unless you agree to take the entire team with you.![]()
Sorry Trystero, I wasn't trying to second guess your plan![]()
Lets switch, you play now, and I can go next.
Sorry, busy all the same, baby due in 2 months, and house renovation still in progress. I wish my hold ups were as glamorous...
Ouch! Well, not a disaster by any means, but losing Chartres does hurt.
I tend to prioritize defenders at bit more than some of you seem to, but I still get caught off guard by AI DoWs, especially on Archipelago maps. Hopefully this is one we can recover from.
I usually never send a settler out without a defender, so it didn't occur to me immediately to check if cities were defended. I was probably also distracted by the GLib race with Joao. I don't understand what provoked the DOW though. He made no demands prior to it. Perhaps it was just an attack of opportunity?
