I left my notes home (traveling this week as usual). However, I am guessing I can get it pretty close by memory. I'll take a crack later tonight when I get back to my room.

Yes, at this point, I think we should REX a few more sites. Expansion into Asoka would be after cats. I would settle: rice/clam, gold, sheep in that order. Gold might be a bit of a maintenance hog, but I think we need to grab before Asoka gets it. The spot the archer is sitting on might work for sheep. Good prod site. I am not so sure about the northern cow/marble site. It will be painfully slow to grow.

I should be up and running by this weekend. I did all I could to get the laptop to function proper but will be getting a helping hand from a friend. I won't be able to comment yet.

Corrected some map errors in the

    Test Game

    Some ideas:

Chop the grassland forests along the river and replace with cottages. One of the chops can be used to finish granary in Utrecht. Make sure that Utrecht is assigned the chopped tile before the chop is completed. Later, Utrecht can also work the cottage there.

Whip worker and settler in Amsterdam and Utrecht @pop 4

Chop in Amsterdam should probably go into a library.

Been looking around and getting up to speed. Hopefully I can post a plan sometime in the next 12 hours or so to be picked over and improved. I think discussion about general direction is not needed right? The issues are more the best way to do it!

Thanks. I will use the test map to test some alternatives.

Unfortunately the plan's going to have to wait another 12 hours. Sorry about that.

    Some more ideas:

I think it makes sense to prioritize a Library in Amsterdam. We can build it from two chops, some overflow from settler and a few turns. Suggest to chop forests 1N1E and 2N1W. When Amsterdam grows to pop4 build settler for two turns. This is normally not good, but in this case we want to get more overflow for the library. Whip settler and let overflow go to library. If Amsterdam is about to become unhappy consider putting a turn into settler or worker (or both). I think we want to grow Amsterdam to happy cap before whipping again.

Cottages can go to river sugar 2N1E and river grassland 1S1E.

Whip worker in Utrecht @pop4. He can go farm the wheat. We can also use a library in Utrecht but it's less urgent so we can slow build for now. We can't afford many military units because unit costs set in very early and we need many workers.

Put our archers at the city spots 2 & 3 given by leifs dotmap. Send warrior to scout Asoka's land.

I'm sorry. This is just not working at all for me. I'll have to stand aside and let you guys get on with it for the moment. My apologies for causing a delay for nothing this week. Go on without me for the moment please.

Did a fast test using the suggestions I made:

    Test 2000 BC

I have some time this weekend and if there is agreement about this general direction I could post a plan and play until Currency. My first set was kinda short anyway.

    Appreciate you stepping up, Fred.

Encourage you to find out what is in the grey civ's fog and wondering whether a library in Utrecht isn't better than a barracks.

Your run to Currency looks good to me. :goodjob:

Not sure why we do not place the Spy points on Asoka as we are planning to go after him fairly soon?

    Plan looks good as well.

Bit worried that Alphabet was not available when Currency completed.
Would really like to trade it around and gain some much needed tech. :mischief:

No suggestions for me at the moment. I would encourage working scientists as soon as possible so we can get to GLib and get our economy going.

Fred, if you have anything you want me to test tomorrow, let me know.
