Commentary:
At T46 we have completed BW and the Library in Oak is one turn from completion.
Oak is size 6 and 4 turns away from growth.
Barb archers have started to appear.
Quite a long set so happy to discuss only taking part of it.
3. We can send the 4th warrior out to take the place of the NE fogbuster, and send that warrior toward the desert. It's slower than the scout, but it's only option we have for exploring now.
4. I still like the idea of letting Birch grow to Size 2 while building a warrior. Once we finish BW, we can time a whip so that Birch goes down to Size 1, but regrows to 2 IBT. Then the overflow goes into a worker. It also gets us a little extra cash.
See zbg's post here.Where can I get the test save?:/
Hi all, I'm headed out of town on vacation Friday night. I'll be mostly out of contact until Sunday, 3/26. I was hoping to at least see a plan for the next turnset before I head out. Any chance of that?
I agree with the above, although I would also like us to try and build another scout very soon.
Here are some thoughts on the next turnset:
1. Again, it's very important to start working the 2nd Fur on the first turn it's available. It allows us to finish BW on the 17 we get from 1 turn at 0% Research. If we miss it, it takes two more turns to get BW.
2. While we're building the Library, Oak can grow into unhappiness (Size 6). We have two options here, we can bring a warrior in from fogbusting to provide a garrison OR we can start a Settler one turn before we grow to size 6. I like the latter option because we can then 2-pop whip the settler and finish the library the next turn.
How I could upload the test savegame at turn 51????????????????
Had problems uploading screenshots, so I tried imgur, improvisedly.
You can use the "Upload a File" button below the window where you type the post. Just find your "Beyond the Sword" folder and then I think it's Saves/single/
The other question I saw was about the Worker building roads. The main priority for roads is to connect our cities and get the TR commerce. Any of the 3 tiles between Oak and Birch are fine to start.
Seems pretty good to me, although we usually try to condense the information down to a list of city builds, worker actions, etc. I feel good letting you guys hash out any more details. Let's just take it 4-5 turns at a time, so NZ and CP can help with any developments. For instance, if we find Copper, we might need alter the Settling plan.
Have a good weekend and week! I'll check in with you guys in about 10 days. Till then,
