    Especially since you got us MoM.

    How much could barb pop increase in 6 turns anyway?
    Even fresh barb cities are 1pop.

    I'm about to roll the turn, but now I'm going thru every city and looking for ways to either grow by T74 or pop borders. Manchou for example can run 2 artists instead of 2 scientists and needs another small push: A.Wat or build culture, etc.

    Instead of starting HA in Berlin and whipping next turn, I'm gonna cold-whip a chariot so we have it moving next turn, capturing Edirne T69. And probably whip another chariot again on 68. Then Berlin is size 1 and we can gift if or build culture to get borders.

    CeaseFire while I regroup. Might gift him Rome, but I might play other games with Rome first.

    Bombing Istanbul reveals:

    The 2 unused horses go to Rome's last city. Correction: they're all set to hit Istanbul next turn and, if not needed, can make it back over to Cumae.

    The only other city left is Ottoman captial. (2 archers and a chariot)
    We have a mace and archer next to that city and about 15-20 horse units that we can split between the two. Child's Play.

    Looking at the graphs I was surprised not to see a culture spike. It must be that every time we uploaded our save our culture city was owned by someone else. When it does jump, it's gonna look like a huge jump! Just for fun, we should probably avoid uploading a save when we're holding the city which will make it look like we're behind.

    Hmmm. I hope that doesn't mean we're not getting credit for the culture for some odd reason.

    EDIT: Maybe culture trails by a turn or two before showing up...

    The 5 Yanan spies are for getting 100 Culture ministry points T75.

    Since we don't need 100, go ahead and leave them in the capital.

    We are down to 17 missions to go.

    68: heal everyone completely except a very, very damaged chariot. Position the chariot to become a lure next turn.
    69: DoW, move chariot next to Lyons (no road), but not in our attack path. Army 'hides' at Wheat-1S, 3 tiles from Lyons.
    70: chariot sacrifice dies. Overwhelm Lyons.

    I suspect that we have to roll a turn with Gold City in our possession, and then upload, for it to show up on the graph. I.e. the gotm graph tool may somehow read the culture at the start of the current turn. That's the only explanation I could come up with.

    Right so test Korea's capital was on an island.
    Gave him 4 cities on our continent and war. No colony
    Gave him 10 cities on our continent and war. No colony
    Deleted every single unit we own in the test game, declared war. No colony.

    I figured you saw something, so I kept going.

    Moved Korea's capital to Gold City.
    Gave him 4 cities crammed onto the island with Tokyo. DOW'd. No colony.

    Then I thought, maybe cities threaten colonies too, not just units?

    Korea's capital was Gold city. Gave Korea 4 cities on their own island all by themselves.

    So threatening military units don't seem to affect colony formation?

    Added a long tendril of land and put a player city on the end of it 10 tiles from the 4 island cities.

    Next turn, Colony did not form.

    So the key is, Colonies can form during war, but only if the Colony landmass has no player cities on it.

    To have taken advantage of a Colony formed every turn, we'd have to have moved our capital to the coast.
    Made one of the 4 Korean island cities get 8000:culture:
    Then ship over a horde of spies constantly!

    Bomber thoughts

    It's in Antium and can strike Istanbul and Cumae, but would we be better off rebasing and messing with England? We will probably DoW them this turn. If redcoat comes out we could just strike it and hope it goes home to heal.

    I researched enough of compass that we can get the last ~100-150:science: at 0% research in 2 turns (T72)
    So we've got 350:gold: in the bank at -100gpt. No problem. We have Chichen gold coming and Paya gold and conquer gold.

    Edit: tweaked it for 3t Compass on T73 (running less specialists). No point over-researching

    Sorry it took so long to run this down.

    All my testing indicated that no resolutions are possible if only 1 person has AP. (Like LowtherCastle said)

    Next, no resolution came up if Player + 1 AI had Taoism. :hmm:
    It felt odd, so I tried over and over with each AI having 1 Tao city in turn.
    No resolutions.


    Once Player + 2 AI had Taoism, all kinds of resolutions came up.
    So 3 people have to have AP religion to unlock resolutions.
    I guess in a 2 player game, the only possible resolution is diplomatic victory?

    It feels very weird, but those were the results near as I could tell.

    Ya, it is far too late to take advantage of Colony every turn.
    Gold City is already on the same landmass as 1 of our cities. Actually 20+ of our cities.

    If everyone is dead but England, send the bomber to bomb England's Settlers sure :)
    Would be tragic if he Settled 1 more city, got a freak New York culture flip, and then founded a 4 city colony with 8 Riflemen spawning snatching victory from us.
    Only a 1 in a 1000 chance, but it is there.

    Good job killing France!
    I was a bit worried.
