@kcd_swede - good thoughts, and thanks for the extra screenshot. I was lazy last night and didn't make good screenshots.

@ChrisShaffer - would it help to post a pic of each city screen? Your insights are always helpful.

Sure, but I don't want to burden the active player any more than necessary.

Makes sense. I'm gonna be distracted the next couple of days if someone else can put together a PPP.

    PPP with questions
Soooo... based on the discussion, the plan would be

    1)Settle 4 food city now
    2) Revolt to slavery now
    3) Tech to Masonry and pause (eventual progression to Math on placeholder)
    4) Exploration westward
    5) wb's for new food
    6) Monument in 4 food? or library? or something else?
    7) workers prechop in Bib, make roads where useful

    anything else?

It's so funny. I used to know this stuff pretty well, and I played it on Deity. But I have no clue anymore after 5 years about any of this. :smoke:

I might lurk around for this game to see what you guys do. And btw, if I will, I am not checking other threads at all.

As I recall, 4 food has three resources in the inner circle, so I'd vote library and skip the monument there. Can another city build workboat(s) for 4 food? Or send over a worker?

Gergovia can send over a worker once it finishes improving the horses & fur, and I tend to think we should wait until the horse is improved before we settle city 4 - because we need the work boats in the area to scout.

The is a work boat en-route to Gergovia from Bib right now - we had slated that one to scout West, though it could settle the seafood, but that limits scouting to the 1 work boat getting built in Gergovia right now.

Plus - we might as well revolt then settle. It seems wrong to settle then revolt.

Correct - Seafood, Silver, and Fur. No land-food in the 1st ring. I'd tend to want to settle the city on the same turn that a WB is in place to improve the first food, and let the whip take care of the monument or library. I'd rather go for a quick border pop, and some WB's. With 4 food, it can take some whips in a way that our other cities can't do so well.

OK, color me convinced. How fast can we build a third workboat (two explorers, one for 4 food)? Seems like two exploring workboats is appropriate...

Well, with a horse in Gregovia - pretty fast. Optionally, have Bib's work boat improve the seafood, and just have Gerg immediately start another WB. I think it gets ~7 hammers per turn, so 4 or 5 more turns for another WB? That's actually about the same speed as Bib's work boat getting other there anyway now that I think about it!

G's first WB should take the south coast, and the 2nd can try the north coast probably.

    Revised from KCD:

    1) Revolt to slavery now
    2) Tech to Masonry and pause (eventual progression to Math on placeholder)
    3) Settle 4 food city in 3 turns when Bib's work boat is in place. Monument first to grab the other 3 food faster.
    4) Exploration westward.
    5) G builds a new 2nd WB for exploring. Then warrior, then WB's.
    6) workers prechop in Bib, make roads where useful [not sure we need any]
    7) Tolosa can build library / lighthouse. Lighthouse opens up fail gold for GLH (or actually build it). It's working some crap tiles, so a whip to get some buildings would be fine. Let's defer whipping until masonry is in though.

No idea what Vinne should build. Worker maybe?

    anything else?

    Vinne worker seems fine.

If nothing else, Bib's workers can build a road to the gems, which we will eventually use.

I'm back online - so I can also play whenever we get the 'Green' votes for it. Anyone else is welcome to run the turns if they want to, of course.

Ok - I'll play it once we get a round of 'Green' votes, or revise if needed.
