Why can't I even contruct a decent fleet? It always is so expensive! Four or five ships suck my income like there's no tomorrow! What are the costs of a ship? There's a certain cost or it's all about my weapons? How can I field a decent fleet?

EDIT: Forgot to say It's on MOO2. Sorry!

Also, I tried building some space bases and the like, but still... At least I've learned about those command points...

Well the best way for one to check that is if you loaded a save for us to examine. Having said that, first if you have more ships that the command point support, you have to pay the difference.

So early on, you will probably have little command points. You can build star base and later battle stations, if you have the tech, and also some techs add to cmd points.

So as you add planets and bases, the support will grow.
