I don't know if anyone mentioned it before but, why do ships lean INTO the turn? A little weird...
 
Because the graphic artist responsible spends his weekends on a motorboat instead of a sailboat? :) J/K -- it's probably because this way one section of code can handle the movement for both sail and motor craft. That way they didn't have to create a separate designation based on the type of craft.
 
That's only for small motorcraft taking sharp turns, going slower and big ships like battleships or carriers will still lean out on turns
