That really wasn't necessary, under the circumstances.
Alas, Darkest Dungeon causes my laptop to freeze.
Milkshakes for dinner! If I drink it too fast, it makes my forehead freeze. Yum!
I've gotten some morning burger and quesadilla. Not very important or impactful, but...man how times changed. Used to just be morning Leftover Pizza, way back in 'normal' times. Then Morning Pizza at work. Now ordering Morning Bacon Burgers. Where to go from there?
At least you didn't have a sandwich.
TIL about daylight running lights. I don't recall ever having seem them when I lived in the US.
LEDs is always gud.
How long have you been out of the US? I think Chevy started installing them in the middle 90s. They were on some cars and optional on most in the middle 00s, and universal by the middle 10s.
11 years now. This means I saw them but was just oblivious.
Had you pegged as an Oldsmobile, @Cutlass.
That was then. This is now. I did have an Olds Cutlass for 11 years. But that car died back in the early 00s.
I tried to buy a bicycle for the Mrs and the bike shop said the only inventory they had was in the $2500+ range and that they are not even able to order more inventory at the moment because demand is so high and all the Chinese factories are still shut down.
A trousers, a shirt and a bikini for my wife and her incoming b-day
Not a bikini for you? That's no fun.
Bought a bunch of camping gear! A 3 person tent, a double sleeping bag, two sleeping pads, a frying pan for my gas burner, a life west for doggo, and camping chairs. Now all we need is some good weather this summer and we're away.
Try buying used over Craigslist or Ebay, you'll likely get a far better price and it's less wasteful. Stuff like that - bikes, washing machines, kitchen appliances, whatever, I almost always get used.
Unless the people there are price-gouging as well.
On Amazon, I checked the prices for Truman Capote's celebrated "Breakfast at Tiffany's." It's running around $100 for a used paperback.
I already have my island only bookstore looking into obtaining a copy for me. The home office has yet to get back to them. My guess is that it's out of print.
If you get a free account at the Open Library, you can borrow to read it online.
Ummm, not really. Of the various editions they reference, the only one actually in their library is an audio version which I need a special "key" from the Library of Congress to listen to. Open Library does link to book sellers, but they don't ship to the Philippines.
