Okay, I'll grant you there *is* one site I visit where the animated avatars are reasonable. But it's much smaller than this place, and doesn't have as many immature "look at me" posters like we do in OT. ;)

    Hahaaa! I guess not! ;)

Well, as avatars are there mainly for identification it shouldn't need to be animated :p.

Another reason... she (<---) couldn't really look much better animated, could she? ;).

    No. No? No!

I seem to remember seeing somebody with an animated avatar once - it was very subtle though and hardly noticable - that kind was ok. Can't remember who it was now.

Does the forum not allow animated gifs as avatars, or is it just the file size that nails them?

If the avatar fits the size requirements, you can upload an animated avatar. Then we nail you!

What if we make a two frame animated .gif, and both frames are the same picture? ;)

    Oh, and no.

Never! Those avatars make the forum look like a kiddy forum. They slow down the forum, they look terrible, and it would make avatar workers have to work too hard.
Animated avatars can die and burn in :satan:
BTW... if we would do anything to avatars, let's make them bigger, in perimeter and file size!

We should have smaller avatars. 51 pixels tall and 61 pixels wide is enough for anyone!

But it cleary said yes

    It would be so fun!
