How could we tell if Padma's avatar was animated or not? ;)

I'd be against this too- they're ugly and distracting.

What about profile pics. I think that would be absolutely smashing!

I think Padma already has an animated avatar...just keep watching...and watching...it'll move eventually, I swear ;)

The only problem I would have with animated profile pics is why...Why do we need pics that nobody looks at eating up server space?

We give animated avatars, then people are going to want images in sigs. And I've seen too many forums that go overboard with that.... No thanks.

Yep, and once they were implemented, removing them would be impossible. Just look at what happened when the postcount was taken out of sight for a while. The biggest outcry in CFC's history i bet.

I object to animated avatar. As many said. it too annoying.
But I think that the size restriction should be eased.
Current limit is 70*70 in pixel and 4.0 KByte in file size.
    I found it too limiting.
Nowadays, most web BBS sites uses 100*100 pixel avatar.
I have to reduce /resize my avatar file used in other site..
So if CFC adopts 100*100 size. I can use same file with other site.
And it look much better than 70*70
And 4K limit is way too small. 100*100 24bit color PNG file is around 18K.
So 20K should be the file size limit...
