Should I bother with this game?

I have still not received my game from Amazon.co.uk (ordered in August) but having read all the problems you guys are having, I wonder if I should hold back playing it until the first patch is out? (assuming I actually receive it by then!).

It appears Firaxis have made a load of horrendous mistakes in sending it out too soon (ie before anyone even tested it properly?) Surely it would be better to wait?

Hmm, problems? Well, there is some small gameplay problems, with corruption and stuff... But nothing bigger, or even i haven't spotted eny. And multiplayer is now like SP, if all have ~50ms ping.

So buy, install and enjoy!

C3C is as bug-free as any well-tested product is upon release. The situation is certainly better than PTW.

As I have said in similar posts... get it.

I've had it for about 2 weeks and I've played 3 epic games and have not noticed anything too serious. Good additions by way have new units, new wonders, etc. I haven't even played the conquests yet because I'm enjoying my epic games. (Started WWII Pacific, but not finished).

Here I agree. There may be some bugs with corruption but a patch should probably be out soon. Once you get it you will realize that you have not wasted your money.

Yep go for it! The "small issues" are small enough that it doesn't effect game play much at all.

Well, after ‘asking the audience’ and with 84% saying yes, play it, my answer is “A – install and play”.

In any event, I suppose it would have been very difficult to leave it in its box for any length of time. The problem is, I stopped playing Civ3 over a month ago so that the whole of the new game would be fresher. Patience, patience

You should cancel your online purchase from Amazon, ang go asap buy it from a normal store, the game is great even with the few problems and bugs it has. buy it and enjoy the game. I myself have ordered it through Amazon France, but did have to cancel it (the french law allow canceling online purchase with no penalties) because of the delay and went buy it from Virgin on november 14th, and I can tell you it's worth it.

I bought it a week ago and have started playing the epic game and I'm enjoying it. Lots of great new wonders and units and civs to play.

Go out and buy it.
