After trying out Civ5 when it came out, i, like many others, felt incredibly disappointed.
But after whole this time i`m actually getting bored by Civ4 and was thinking to give civ 5 another chance....

Is it worth it. Have all the patches made the game actually better.

Im not talking about bugs or anything technical, im talking about complexity. Is it anywhere near to that one of Civ4 or is it still the dumbed down casualized piles of you know what?

Its definately a better game than it was at release. Though is it what you want in a game? If you already own the game its not really much effort to give it another go. And then add the religion and espionage to that gameplay and you'll get what its like when the expansion comes out on tuesday.

But why this is in ideas and suggestions I know not.

This sort of thread should go in the General Discussions forum. However, you're unlikely to get any definitive opinion. Whether Civ5 is good or not is entirely subjective. There are people who like it and people who don't. Divining an objective truth out of the opinions of the two isn't going to be possible.
