Should I have an installation key?

Don't hate me but I'm thinking about trading in my copy of Civ IV.
It's a great game but I'm helplessly addicted to World of Warcraft.


I can't seem to locate a CD key.
Should there be one?
I can't remember if I needed one to install it or not.
I keep my game discs in a CD case so I'm wondering if the key might have been on the envelope the discs came in.

Nope, there's no CD key, you have to leave your CD in the drive to play though (and hope it recognises it).
