Marajuana isn't anywhere near that addictive. Cigarettes are much, much, much more addictive, yet they are legal!

Just because your high school has a very high number of dumbasses, doesn't mean marajuana is addictive. Any person who gets addicted to it, either smoked excessively high amounts in too short a time, or has an addictive personality and could theoretically get addicted to just about anything.

The barbarian nation of the United States of America :p

Seriously, though, it's only a gateway drug BECAUSE it's illegal. Try one illegal drug, and you want to try more, it's that simple.

And stop thinking that it's just a recreational drug. It does have medicinal value, and the plant can be used for just about everything.

Do you have any evidence that supports your theory? According to it, I should have moved on from smoking ganja once a week or so to crack cocaine years ago.

I think it should be legal. Its pretty much harmless for adults who use it in moderation. It makes you dumb and i dont use it, i dont think people should use it to much either atleast until their old enough to decide properly.

The money used chasing the drug would be better used in attempts to teach kids not to smoke it. Plus parents should take more responsability for their kids.

That said some parents might approve of its use. In that case they could introduce it to the children at home in a sensible enviroment.

If you smoke one joint a week on a saturday night you will be fine,
if you drink a few beers a week on a saturday night you will be,
If you smoke 3 ounces a weeks you will suffer, if you drink 3 bottles of vodka a week you will suffer.
if you eat a ice cream once a week your fine, 3 hamburgers a day you will suffer.

Parents should teach their kids how to behave responsably. Dont leave it up to the media and drug dellers.

Marijuana can be VERY addictive! It all depends on your psycological makeup. It had little effect on me but has crippled a couple of my friends. Many things can become addicitons just look at food. God help us all.

Make food illegal then, since you can become addicted to it.

I'm not arguing against legalization. I'm just saying it can be very addictive and damaging for some people.

No it is not addicting. The people who are "addicted" would be addicted to popping zits, it is them that are the issue not the plant itself. At best you can call it habitual. But it is not addictive.

It is addictive. It's a psychological addiction and not a physical one.

Whatever happened to personal responsibility? It shouldn't be the government's job to make sure people don't get addicted to a plant, unless it kills you.

In certain instances it may be, but that is on a rare, individual basis which is hardly support for keeping it illegal.
