I don't know if it's possible to tell on a saved game what version the player used (v1.07f, v1.16f, 1.17f), but if it is, I think the high scores on the Hall of Fame be changed. New Rule: must have used v1.17f. This is because of some of the new rule changes in the patch will not allow the real high scores of past versions (mass despot rush, tech trading is limited, etc.). This is especially true on Deity, and maybe even Emperor. What do you think?
Until I've played enough with v 1.17f it's hard to tell. From first reactions to the readme, it would seem that scoring will be somewhat harder with the patch. The readme stated that a bug with how the score was calculated was fixed, which may affect things greatly. Pop rushing will take longer to do, but is no means eliminated by the patch. Also there seem to be some game breaking bugs introduced in 1.17f, so hopefully there will be another patch shortly.

All that said, I would be in favor of archiving the 1.16 results and starting a new HOF for the 1.17's. At least then everyone's games would be on equal terms.
