[R&F] Showing original models for unique buildings

Hey guys, been getting back into modding for GS (hype!).

I have a question regarding unique buildings, specifically the models that show on the world map.
Currently when you replace a district Building it just keeps the distract land empty when the unique building is constructing/ed, I was wondering if there was an easy way to show the base building model in-game in a non-complicated way.

Right now it seems like the only way to do this is by copying the corresponding Landmark.artdef and Buildings.artdef you need then renaming stuff; has anyone figure out a better way? Note: I have no immediate interest in doing 3D Modeling/editing existing assets to create new art assets I just want to original building models to show.
