SilliNES2: Pure Story and World Building NES Succeeding? PFFFFF, YEAH RIGHT!

What does OTL stand for?

Also, I'm having a tough time figuring out what to make Australia like, any suggestions?

Mysterious and Deadly land.

SilliNES3: The Search for Imago

Expect this sometime before winter break!

Rules changes, discussion, and suggestions welcome!

NOTE: This won't die unless the players will it to die! Write a short something every week to make it not so! :)

Even if it dies, it goes into a work folder where I slowly change this into a setting for actual play. Whether this play will be for NESing or something else is up to me. I urge everyone else to take creative lessons from what we will do here with them!

Sorry, I have a fever right now so if you don't want a rambling story made by a feverish mad man, I would not write anything for a while.

Actually I might write something about the Mongols while I'm maddened.

I'm going to pick up Tycho's chain, since nobody else done so, but in the meantime, I got two things to say:

One, I feel that some if not most of the Ices are not really controlled by Cheroth, mainly the aquatic, organic ones. Instead, they are 'peaceful' creatures which migrate between the Arctic and the Antarctica every six years, going through the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. In spite of their apparent friendlyness, they would be easy to be confused to be under the rule of the Ice King by the Alestrias. This is because they are used to seeing cold as 'good' and heat as 'bad', driving those which near the Alestrias's Island into a very heighten state of aggression. Australian Humans, however, view these creatures as minor gods, especially those on the coasts, offering goods and sacrifices when one nears.

The second is that I feel fuzzy inside after Terrance uses Eisen Europa as a example. Only thing is that the Eisen in Arthur Eisen is just his surname, not his title. His title is 'People-King of Prussia, Hungria-Austry, Czech Union and Slovakia, and Prime Minister of Serbakiana'. If you wander what Serbakiana is, it is a Democracy of Serbs who rules land to the west of Byzantium, and well known in Europe for production of a sort of 'Wine-Vodka'. While they are willing vassals of Knights Europa, they gave the control of their country over to Eisen after a failure in counting the vote. The Serbs didn't care much, as they were too busy drinking alcohol.

Since these Ices are worshipped by the people of Australia that I claimed, can you give me more information about what they are?

Since these Ices are worshiped by the people of Australia that I claimed, can you give me more information about what they are?

Well, the Australian tribes do not only worship the 'peaceful' Ices only, they also worship plenty of inland eldritch abomination, what with Australia being the center of death and horror. Also, unless you are playing brave/insane freelance colonists from Europe/Asia/America, I rather have your nation being medieval-aged at the most. That is only because of how the major and minor powers do not want a colony somewhere which is full of death and taxes, and so, the only people there are the tribal peoples who are used to this life, taming herds of giant spiders and sheep, like how Europeans tame cows and sheep. But do not get me wrong, the giant spiders are just about at the bottom of the food chain, with humans being at the same level.

They are basically scary ice things.

More to come I guess soon.

Is Arrow still around and bringing that giant eldritch abomination south from the North Pole against the rest of the world?

He sent me a link with a story draft, says he's working on it.

Hopefully he'll get it in tonight, cuz tomorrow we're updating the Fortress.

The Australians

Australia is a land of death, full of horrifying monsters. Humans have managed to survive there, but they are not in control. They are at the bottom of the food chain, not the top, and they spend much of their time running away from monsters. Despite this, they have been able to tame some of the lesser creatures, such as giant cattle, giant sheep, and the giant spiders and giant ants that they've learned to ride. Because they can't safely settle in one place for long, they are pastoralists. The people mostly live on the coast, because the most dangerous of the monsters live inland in the desert. The monsters have also prevented much technological advancement, but the people have managed to discover things like currency and how to work iron. They have made contact with other civilizations who have discovered their island, but none of them have tried to colonize Australia becaus of the danger. The Australians worship many of the monsters inland, giving them offerings and sacrifices in return for mercy, and they also worship as minor gods the peaceful Ices that come along the coast every six years. Their army is mostly swordsmen and spearmen, with some archers and a few giant spider and ant riders. Their army's main function is protecting the people from the monsters. They also have a small navy of wooden boats. The Australian government is a monarchy. Magic is outlawed because it's very hard to use and dangerous.

The Kingdom of Australia

Technology: Late Classical/Early Medieval
