My single most annoying pet peeve is the silly timeline all the previous titles had and this new one still has. One of the goal of the games is to rewrite history - so why are we still counting years in terms of BC/AD ?

I want to start much earlier 8000BC or even 10000BC - which will mean adding lots of techs. I'm not into quickies so this speeding up of the game is just absurd to me; anyhow the speed issue has been adressed elsewhere so I know how to change it.

So how do I change the starting date and how do I add techs. As usual - and as I predicted - the editor has been left out. Sure there's this world builder but once again we the consumers have to do all the job of turning this raw game into something more. Wonderful way to save money the developers have found *scowls*

Nahh, I´d rather like to create my very own timeline, and a system of leaders for my people, changing the leader after he died and also every leader restarts the timeline with zero (reminding of the roman emperors).
I´d really like to abandon that christian timeline.

In defense of the developers, this game is probably going to be much easier to transmute than the previous ones? I mean, we had ways to change the timescale of the game posted here, what, 1 day after release?
