Simple background problem

I just made a custom main menu background for my mod - it's working and looking well. The only problem I have, is setting that background as default. Instead of adding a new background to the list - as it is now - I could overwrite the default background, but I'd prefer not to. This ways, my background can be choosen from the menu and will remain the default background from then on, but I'd like to have it being the default from the first time you load my mod. I've seen that RoM does that, but couldn't figure out how to although I'm sure it's simple.

Simple guess: RoM replaced the standard screen with its own, but added the standard screen as separate screen again ain the file.

Hmmm... looks they have overridden it wthout readding the original background. That's why their background appear as default...
